a story re-told.

My eyes creak open,
and my body awakens to the warm breeze.
bars in my sights.
crowds form while horses ride circles around me.
all I hear are screams
while a man in the middle taunts me.
he who holds my pride and frustration.

I'm released for the first time in days.
slow from wounds and hunger.
my mind focus and taught
I know only of one thing.
the sun bakes my leathery skin while I slowly make my approach towards the center.
my breathing becomes heavy as I stare down the center.

a flash of red hits me
my focus is shattered and I'm left running
as I dash towards man
my body is guided down towards the floor.

my head spins
and I can see traces of blood on the gravel.
"is this blood mine?"
"I dont' have time to waste"
"I have to get up!"

my breathing becomes heavier.
and as I heave I can see that man glaring at me again.
he taunts me, but his eyes.....his eyes show pity.
"i don't need your pity."
"i don't need even need your respect."
I dash back towards him
but he leads me in circles.

"is this it?"
another flash of red.
"did I make it?"

my body barrels into the gravel once again.
a field of dust is shot into the air.
my mind is blank
and as I watch patiently into the distance abyss.
weak, and immobilized
I regretfully ponder.

"am I going to die?"

the man appears as only a shadow.

"but I'm not ready"
"I'm not ready yet..."

He steps closer.

"I'm not ready yet...."

Just a day just an ordinary day.

Just trying to get by.
Just a girl,
Just an ordinary girl.
But she was looking to the sky.

The land bridge we all call a sculpture.

Just another adventurous day at the parks. :P

Gaudi, Gaudi, Gaudi

Still in barcelona.
Spend the entire day looking at Gaudi, Over, and over, and over again.
And I think I can safely say that I have seen enough Gaudi :P
the day started out pouring and I got my feet soaked! but in the end it all turned out great, At night we ran off to the Macdonalds
[OMG the Euro-Mcflurrys are to die for]
Ended up at an awesome outdoor/indoor mall. maybe I'll make some time and head back over there to take some pic's :D

In Barcelona

So my adventures finally continue! sorry about the hold up on the updates. I have my studies to attend to also :P so this is it. the beginning of the second chapter of our story. the train ride was quite exciting. The group went from a luxurious train car to a run down chicken coupe haha, if only you could have seen our faces when the train pulled up.

On our second day we started exploring just a little bit. Here are some samplers.

And yes I saw a handful of Gaudi but those will have to wait for later!

Life brings us around in circles.

I guess its time I face it.
The gardens in my mind.
and the traps they hide.
behind the walls that tempt me closer.
to a world I don't belong.
away from a light that I once knew.
From a place that knows no harm.
In the arms that open wide.
With a breath that never ends.
To a home I once ran from.

Today, was another ordinary day.

A lot of reflection was done walking today. well everyday, there hasn't been a day without reflection for me. [probably do to all the seminary schooling I went through ] but with all that I guess I'm tired....tired of everything. but don't get me wrong i'm not tired of life, I'm not tired of people. I'm just starting to grow weary of certain situations in my life, and I wonder why I don't just leave them behind. maybe that's just human nature, but I gotta say this trip has given me a piece of mind. So today I promise to myself when my feet land on american soil once again I will drop all my vices I had carried on my back and set aside all those people who have lead me astray from what has been so real to me these last couple of years.
